cure for rheumatism is to boil the roots of bog-beans in water and to drink the liquid.
A certain man had a cure for cattle and when any beast got sick this man was sent for and he measured the beast from the top of its head to the end of its tail. This man carried an elf-stone and he rubbed the cow all over with it. Then the preson to whom the best belonged had to go for a bottle of the three-merrin waters, and this water was given to the beast, and in three days, the man came back to look at the cow and to measure her again and then she was cured.
