  1. All the roads in this neighbourhood were made according to the old people, during the Famine years, of, 1846 and 1847.
    They were made as relief works during the Famine period. All the men in the district worked at the roads and the pay they got was one shilling per day.
    Before bridges were made the rivers were crossed by means of strong planks.
    There are not any monuments to the memory of the dead in the district.
