Now far away from the dear old scenes

    (continued from previous page)
    Song
Now far away from the dear old scenes
In exile here I roam, across the waters wild and wide
    Far from my native home.
The dear old scenes of long agao
    I do remember well
My childhood plays my school boy days
    Around Saint James's Well.
I long to ramble there once more
    And meet with comrades true
and view again those happy scenes
    Where days of childhood flew
O for one clance at the dear old Well
No tongue or pen can tell
How I revere that school house dear
    Around Saint James's Well
The dear old well in former days
I have heard the old folk say
Good people came from far near
    Upon Saint James's day.
From England, Scotland and from Wales
    And other lands as well
