  1. Long ago the old people used to make up their own cures for different diseases. The following are some of their cures:-
    Toothache Warm salt on a pan and put it in a stocking and then tie it round the jaw.
    Mumps. If the father and mother were the same name the children have the cure of the mumps You must put a bridle on the patient and lead him to the stream and wash his throat with the water.
    Foul-mouth. The child that never saw his father has the cure for the foul-mouth. the man is to blow
