  1. (continued from previous page)
Sacred and silent from east to west
It was blowing upon my breast
Flesh of my flesh and bone of my bone
Hath each season taken the rolling stone
Of my palace lioses' in the flaunting meads
And my heart keeps over a wound that bleeds.
My faith my shamrock all bereft
I guarded the warm that the f hath left
I wore the sprig on the scaffold's side,
God's earth be light on the brave who died.
In the folds of my heart is my shamrock there
It grew in my love wide spreading
Fair, and a thousand times dearer than rose or sedge
Full flowering by the great sea's edge.
