    her "mother" and the "mother" would send another child out for her father's socks. Then the "Ghost" would follow her and the child would run and tell her "mother". The "mother" would send each one of the children in turn for something belonging to their father and the "Ghost" would follow each of them. Then the "mother " and the children would go out into the garden. The mother carrying a lighted candle and then the following conversation would take place:
    "Mother" What do you want?
    "Ghost" A needle and thread
    "Mother" What do you want the needle and thread for?
    "Ghost" To sew my bag
    "Mother" What do you want the
