  1. Stampy used to be made in this district. This is how it was made:-
    Potatoes were grated on a perforated can and mixed with flour and put into an oven to bake.
    "Mixed bread" is mostly made in our house:-
    A basin is got, then meal and flour are put into it and mixed. The miscture is wet then with sour milk and worked until it.
