Prayers for a happy death are : -
Jesus of Nazereth, King of the Jews, Save me from a sudden and unprepared death.
My Lord God even now I willingly accept, at Thy hand, with all its pains and suffering, whatever kind of death it shall please Thee to be mine.
O My Lord and Saviour support me in my last hour by the strong arms of Thy Sacraments. Let Thy absolving words be said over me and the holy oil sign and seal me and let thine Own Body be my food and Thy Blood my sprinkling.
A prayer said when coming near a chappel is : -
    Hail to thee, O Alter
Green leafy tree of the Cross,
Let my soul not pass you by,
Keep me in the state of grace
    Direct us our God
Fill us with desire for Heaven,
Wet our eyes with tears of sorrow,
And may a share to us be given.
Of every Mass said in Rome to-day
    And throughout the wide world.
