  1. The right hand of the dying person is stuck into the habit when dying.
    He is laid out on the floor to die on straw.
    His eyes and mouth are closed. Sometimes the eyes are closed by leaving pennies on them, or the person who closes the eyes leaves his thumbs on them.
    The mouth is settled and closed. Then there is a band tied about the chin and tied on top of the hand. This band is called the Marbh Fáisg.
    If a parent is dying from any infectious disease the members of the family do not remain in the house when the parent is dying.
    The Rosary is being said and Holy water shaken.
