    To break in its strength each early tie
    Yes! then tis hard, tis hard to die
    But now he is sleeping in lone Rattoo
    Where a round tower burst on the strangers' view.
    Gleaming and fresh is the greensward there
    Sad through the trees moans the summer air,
    Thitherward often our thoughts' shal[?] roam.
    Oh! calm be his nest in his Fathers home
    Till we meet again on that golden shore.
