  1. The fairs in Listowel are held every fortnight. The usual place is in big towns. The buyers sometimes come to farmers. There were fairs in many places that are not there now. There is a custum gap and you will have to pay sixpence for every animal you have for sale and if you dont sell, you wont get back the money again. I never heard of fairs held at cross roads. Sixpence is the usual money you will have to give at the custom gap.
