  1. The name of my home district is Coolkeragh.
About forty families live in it and about two hundred people.
The family name most common in the district is Walsh.
Most of the houses in the district are slated.
There are very few thatched houses.
There are no old people living in the district.
Many young boys and girls of late years emigrated to England.
The land is not very good in some places, but the most of it is good.
There is bog in the upper part of it.
There are not any woods in it.
They were cut down many years ago.
The river Gale is the only river in the district.
It is very wide and deep.
