    About a half-mile outside Mohill there is a little thatched house owned by a family named Murphy.

    About a half-mile outside Mohill there is a little thatched house owned by a family named Murphy.
    A few years ago this house was supposed to be haunted, and this haunting was the means of Mrs Murphy's death.
    Every night at twelve o' clock a big black dog would come and sit on the floor, with chains round him, Mrs, Murphy got a great fright and said to her husband and children that she would leave the house.
    Some time after some of her friends came to stay with her for a few days. They were all sitting around the fire, and the very minute that twelve o' clock came the door flung open, everything on the dresser was broken and they all had to leave the house.
    They sent in for the priest. When
