  1. Fenagh is situated bewteen Ballinamore and Gowa. In Fenagh there is an abbey which is about 50 yards from the road, and almost 100 yards East of the abbey there are the ruins of an old house.
    St Caillen lived in Fenagh with his monks. At that time the church was persecuted , and St . Caillen made an under-ground passage from the abbey to the dwelling house and from the dwelling house to Ellis's house in the village.
    It is said that there is a golden chain through the under ground passage, but no one can get into the passage to get the chain. Once a man went into the passage , but some thing turned his head backwards and he come back.
