  1. Some year's ago when the butter used to be taken by some unknown person, cows used to be taken also especially the nice gray ones. Here is the story of one that was taken.
    Some 80 or 90 years ago there lived in Ardloher a hard-working farmer named Peter Rooney.
    Now, Peter wanted a cow very badly, so on one 20th of May he started fro Drumsna to buy one.
    After choosing a nice gray cow and paying £14.10 for her, he tied her to a lone bush on the green and went to take a drink with an old friend of his.
