  1. About the years of 1863 and '64 there was a hare used come around the townland of Listermagivel in the parish of Mohill that used suck the cows at night and she had them destroyed and they had no milk in the morning and very little in the evening.
    Some old man advised them to get two hounds without a grey hair in them and if they pursued her they would catch her, as it was done.
    They rose her in Listermagivel and she ran towards Fenagh and the hounds followed her they turned her at Laragh Lough locally known as the clear lake and she never stopped running until she came back
