  1. In olden times the houses of the district were not atall like what they are to day they were much smaller.
    The walls were made of mud clay or sods and built on each other until they came to the required height.
    They were built about six feet high and fourteen feet wide. In those mud walls houses the chimneys were made of wood.
    There was always a piece of tin put on the thatch that was near the chimney so that the thatch would not be burnt with the sparks.
