  2. Soap was made in the townland of Fearnaught by the O' Rourke family.
    They made it out of weeds, dock leaf, nettles and coarse hay.
    First they cut and dried these and then burned it into ashes. They then wet the ashes that remained with water until they got it into a thick paste.
    They made small sections of the paste and left these to dry until they got hard and firm. These blocks were used in washing linen so as to
