   The most harmful weeds in this district are red-shanks, duck-weed, nettle, thistles, flaggons, comfree, chick weed, plantain, dandelion, rushes, grounsel and ragwort. The dockweed takes all the substance away from the plants beside it. Redshanks smother they get in through. Nettles choke all the plants. Thistles keep cattle from eating the grass. They grow in good ground. Flaggons grown in marshy wet land. Chickweed grows in garden which are laboured very often.
