  1. Long ago many games were played in this district. Here is one of them.
    "Lob in the cap"
    This was an outdoor game and played mostly in summer. First the players placed their caps upside down along a wall.
    One of the players stands about ten yards away from the caps and tries to put the ball into one of the caps.
    If he succeeds the owner of the cap rushes in and takes the ball and tries to strike one of the players who have run away in all directions.
    If he succeeds a tiny stone is put in that boy's cap. Whoever has three stones in his at the end of the game has to straighen out his
