    Every year people go there the three last Sundays or the three last Fridays of July. People who have head aches take the water out of the holes and put their knees and head down in them and the head ache goes.
    In Clare galway castle there is a picture of the "cat of nine tails" cut into a rock. There was a great tradesman in the place named Gubán Saor. A rich man told him to draw "the cat of nine tails' and he would pay him well. When the man came again it was drawn and he gave Gubán Saor a lot of money.
