    Pursued by the monk, she journeyed as far as Kilmakerril where she collapsed and died.
    When O'Farrell heard this he collected his forces, and marches to the monastery which he completely destroyed.
    Some time afterwards, overcome by sorrow, he confessed his sacrilege to a priest who imposed as a penance on him that he should build another monastery.
    This he did, where the graveyard of Kilmakerril now is. The name Kilmakerril means O'Harrell's church.
