  1. The local fairs are held in Sligo, Grange, Manorhamilton, and Lurganboy. The fairs are held in Manorhamilton on the twelfth of every month except on the eight of May and on the seventh of October. The fair is held on the street beside a ruined castle.
    The Lurganboy fair is held on the twenty-first of every month except on the fifteenth of May.
    The Sligo fair is held on the first Tuesday of every month and the Grange fair is held on the twenty-ninth of every month.
    A man from Manorhamilton named William Pye comes once a week to the district to buy cattle.
    It is an old custom for the man who's selling the beast to give back luck money as the buyer would think the beast would turn out unlucky otherwise.
    When a bargain is made the parties show their agreement by clapping or another way is when the bargain is settled the man who buys the beast puts a mark on her with dirt so that
