  1. There are four forts in the district. One of them is in the school district in Glassdrummon, another in Gortnagregory, another in Diffreen and another beside the Glencar Church. One of them is a double ringed fort and they are all circular in shape. Some of them are fenced with trees and stones and some of them are fenced with earth and stones.
