An old man by the name of Thomas Creaven of Clonshecahill was playing cards with his neighbours in a house in Creevagh. Creevagh is a townland in the school district. There is no trace of that house now. The people were playing the cards until ten o'clock. At about half past ten a knock came to the door. The players gave no heed to that knock until another knock came. Then the cock flew down out of the loft and he scattered the cards about the house.
