    Come all you jolly fellows,

    (continued from previous page)
    John Mitchell struck the table saying,
    The turkey she is mine.

    He brought this turkey,
    And put her in a coup,
    And went to bed to have pleasant dreams,
    Of drinking mugs of soup.
    But dreams turn out contrary,
    You often heard it said,
    For Nellie had the turkey gone,
    While John lay stretched in his bed.
    For when she found the turkey gone,
    Just as the day did break,
    She crossed the walls and ditches,
    and headed for the lake.

    When John he missed the turkey,
    Sometime later in the day,
    he made inquiries round about,
    And heard Nellie came the way.
