    The boys used to gather there,
    To have a game and chat,
    And Nellie would remind them,
    Of a turkey plump and fat,
    They did not seem to notice,
    till at last one night she did say,
    If you do not play the turkey boys,
    You had better keep away.

    The boys they consulted and they in a corner tight,
    And they came to play the turkey,
    ON the following Monday night.
    The game commenced it was very tight,
    And not a word was said,
    It was sometimes evens round about
    And sometimes one a-head.
    At last the final game was played,
    Just as the clock struck nine,
