  1. In a country district outside Tynagh long ago their lived a woman called Aine. This woman was a sinner, and so much so, that she was banned by the priest of her parish from the church, and even after her death the priests objected to her being buried in a graveyard. Her children buried her in the lawn of a place called "Pallas" and for a long time after that, the priests of that parish when passing by the gate leading to that lawn mistook the road and found themselves wandering about the lawn all night.
