- In a country district outside Tynagh long ago their lived a woman called Aine. This woman was a sinner, and so much so, that she was banned by the priest of her parish from the church, and even after her death the priests objected to her being buried in a graveyard. Her children buried her in the lawn of a place called "Pallas" and for a long time after that, the priests of that parish when passing by the gate leading to that lawn mistook the road and found themselves wandering about the lawn all night.(continues on next page)
