He also stated that the potatoes which were grown in the field into which the clay was put could not be eaten. When they were boiled they had a very greasy appearance. What was more strange was that the pigs in Ballymore also refused to eat them. He was at the carting of those potatoes when when they were brought out and put into a dyke.
