  1. In the parish of Kilbeacanty there are two wells dedicated to St Coleman. One is situate in the village of Raherin, about two miles east of Gort. The other is on the eastern shore of Lough Cutra lake. Here the fountain flows from a large sheltering rock on which a cross is rudely cut with the date 1745. The date 1745, because during the penal times mass was said there. In 1745, the first mass was said there.
