    It is an old custom to give the halter to the buyer, but if the buyer has no halter, he should have one. Every Saturday, a market is held for the sale of bonhams in Ballinasloe.

  2. The local fairs are held in Aughrim. The fairs are generally held in towns. Sometimes buyers come to farmer's houses and transact business there. This is still done. Part of the local fairs are held in the streets, and parts of them are held on the fair-green.
