    They were going into their dinner, when about fifty yards from where they left the spade they noticed they were gone. They looked everywhere but could not see anyone. At this time they did not know who stole them nor did anyone know who stole the many things that were missing.
    When he died his will was read and then, and then only did they know who the thief was. The plough was willed to the man in Ballindine the spades to my father and everything else to its rightful owner.
