Many years ago there was an old mill in Milltown. In this mill the people made porter from barley. This old mill was built in the year 1631 and it was condemned in 1741. The people had large pots and stills and barrels of beer and they retailed it to the shopkeepers in the town. This mill waws a big inudstry in a little town and it was built by English forces which was a great loss to the district who gave a lot of employment to. The chief man over the mill had to go to America because he could get no one to work for him. Then the mill was left without working and in this way it went down.
