- There lived a man named Eamon King he was born at Gurranbeg.
He died ten years ago and was buried at Creeach Cneevagh
Long ago people used to cart seaweed from Galway by horse and cart.
This day Eamon King went to Galway for 30 cwts of seaweed so when he arrived home he was going in the gap in his own field and the horse failed to pull it so he put the straddle on his own back and drew it in.
He was a very strong man.- Collector
