    Lent comes in on Ash Wednesday. Some people fast from sugar in their tea. Some days in Lent were black fast days some years ago such as Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Some people in our village do not put milk in their tea or make bread with milk or eat any butter or any eggs on those days yet.
    Ashes : are blessed on Ash Wednesday and put on the foreheads of the people who attend Mass. A lot of people come to the chuch church that day.
