  1. Toothache. When a toothache is bad a piece of tobacco left on it will relieve the pain. A pinch of ginger shoved into the hole is good or mustard which is supposed to split the tooth. A smoke of a pipe of tobacco is a good cure.
    The best cure is to put cold water in your mouth and wait beside a fire till it boils.
    Chin-cough:- Asses milk is very good for the chin-cough or ferret's leaving or a fox's toungue put in a cloth and warmed to the fire and then put round the neck.
    Thorns
    A fox's toungue is a great cure for taking out thorns. It is left on the thorns and is supposed to draw them out.
    Mumps
    The skin of the inside of a hen's gizzard left beside a fire to
