  1. Once upon a time there came an old beggar man in to Mrs Kelly of Camata. He asked her for some dinner. She said she would give him any-thing he would ask for if he would kill all the rats she had about the house. "Very well" said the main. "If you give me my dinner now, the price of another and a big stick I'll kill the rats.
    The woman went and got him some dinner, half a crown and a big stick. When the man got his dinner he said to the woman "Gather all the rats in here and I bet I'll soon scatter them.
