    oats. Every person made their own flour. Some of the old farmers of long ago had querns for making their own corn into meal. The people of long ago did not bake as much as would do them for one day but they baked as much as would do them for about a week or so. Some of the people of long ago cut the shape of a ring on the bread they baked. This ring was for good luck.
