   After tramping for hours they sat down to rest
   Every man hungry and dry,
   And when Fonsuis produced a fine bottle of milk
   Says McKenna "A stout would go high"
   Now the heat of the day made them lazy to rise
   No further they wanted to climb,
   But Bryson looks back saying
   "Boys don't get slack"
   For its coal that we want every time.

   Now away in the distance]
   Some black thing they spied
   Says Patton "We're poor men no more,
   T'is coal without doubt now we'er all sticking out"
   "Brave boys" shouts old Dan from Malore
   Then highly delighted the hugging began
   In a circle their arms did entwine
