- Thistles, dockens, benweed, nettles, craw tea, bishop weed. pirrell grass, convolvulus, Sagans, cuckoo potatoes, are bad for Land.Thistles are harmful weeds because they seed themselves and very soon there is a large crop of them Nettles also do the same harm. Craw tea, grows flat on the ground. It has a yellow flower. Bishop weed also seeds itself. Where the land is bad you will see rushes and sprits growing. On good land thistles grow.You can stew nettles and make broth. You can make tea out of dandelions. Dandelions leaves are also used for feeding turkeys and cattle. Pirrell is also a weed, it has a flower like withered grass.Thistles have pinky purple flowers.(continues on next page)
