  1. When we are playing hens and chickens, all the children gather in one long line and hold on to each other and the one in front is called the head and the rest are called the chickens. One child scrapes on the ground and she is called the fox, and the hen asks the fox.
    "What are you scraping for."
    "I am scraping for a needle," says the fox.
    "What do you want the needle for." says the hen.
    "To sew bags" says the fox.
    "What do you want the bags for" says the hen.
    "To fill sand" says the fox.
    "What do you want the sand for" says the hen.
    "To scour knives and forks" says the fox.
    "What do you want the knives and forks for" says the hen.
    "To cut the heads off chickens" says the fox.
    "When will you get the chickens" says the hen
    "Behind you back" says the fox.
    Then the hen and the fox start to fight and the hen holds out her hands
