  1. Local Marriage Customs
Most people get married. May is considered an unlucky month. Thursday, Friday and Saturday are considered unlucky days. This is an old rhyme they used to have,
    Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth
Wednesday the best day of all
    Thursday for crosses
    Friday for losses
and Saturday no day at all.
There are not many matches made in this district, but money is sometimes given with the bride. No stock or goods are given in this district
After the wedding there is usually a great feast in the house of the bride and sometimes drink is served.
