    There are many stories told of this hill.
    One morning as a milk server was driving his horse up the drive his horse stopped suddenly. he tried to make the horse proceed by beating it but all in vain.
    After some time he descended from the cart and again tried to make the horse go. While thus engaged, hands gripped him around the neck and an eerie voice said "get prayers said for me" and then the horse started off again.
    Every year, on the anniversary of this even, the marks of the hands can be plainly seen.
