    The Widow Gambles Hill
A man was coming home from a wake one night, he had to pass the Widow Gambles Hill in Monkstown. When he was passing the hill a shrill cry came from behind him. He was on a bicycle at the time and a black thing jumped in front of him, his light went out. All the way home the cry followed him when he reached his house a white thing was sitting on the door step. It soon disappeared to enable him to get into the house.
