    A man once went to Scotland on hire and was hired by a gentleman.

    and so he found out about his son. His wife got the supper and cut up one of his cakes. What came out of it only twenty sovereigns! And there were twenty in the next and twenty in the next. That's the way the mistress had to give him his money safe home. Later on he took his wife and family back to Scotland where they lived on the Gentleman's place

  2. Long ago a man named Power lived near the Cúinne Bhuidhe. He was very old and seldom stirred out. One day the people were going to Mass while old Power was in bed.
    An old woman with her apron over her head for a shawl was late going to Mass. While on the way she saw old Power in a corner of the haggard with a sieve full of gold. She went on to Mass. When coming home the people found that the old man was dead in his bed but his gold had disappeared. The old woman knew where it was but she couldn't get it because there's a big black bull minding that gold. He's minding it with the last ninety years. I saw him
