    Long ago there was a man living in Achill...

    (continued from previous page)
    three nights in a haunted house and he would give him a goose each night and a gallon of stout.
    So he said he would and when the three were over the farmer came to the door and said "are you living Pat?" "Yes" said he, " I am" The third night a big man came down stairs and said "go up stairs and you will get a bag of gold on the table". So he went home to his wife and they lived happy after that.
