- There was an old man called Séán na Sagape. He was a priest hunter. The Ormsby's of Runagry used to give this old villain five pounds for every priests head he would bring to them. He was going around the country. Whatever, he happened to come to this village and all the people were in terror of him. So he got lodgings in this house and after he went to bed he started to roar with pain and call for the priest that he was dying. So the people of the house thought it right to send for the priest to anoint him. So the priest came and when he did he thought the man was dying. He went to hear his confessions and whenever he did, he jumped up and caught the priest by the neck and tried to kill him. The poor priest got away. He was following the priest an trying to get him. There was an old beggar man that used to go from house to house on the scene, so he made for Seán and crossing a fence he pulled the knife off him and stabbed Seán and killed him.
