    Once apon a time ther lived a girl who was very lazy.So one day her mother put her up on the roof of the little cottage to spin. She was not long there till a prince came riding up and asked why the girl was up on the roof. So her mother told him why she had her up there. She said that she could spin gold out of strow of clay. So the girl came down and went with the prince to the palace.
    When they went in she was put up into a room with a bundle of straw and a bucket of clay. Then she sat dawn beside her spinning wheel and began to sob with her face buried in her hands. In a while after a little man came in and asked her what was up so she told him her story. So he said he would help her if she would marry him when he would came back. So he lent her a pair of gloves and said that unless she could tell him his name
