    The man said he would put him in the chest if he would not tell him. So he put him in the chest. He told a few neighbours that he had him. One day he was going up to the room and he slipped and fell.
    The leipreacán went laughing in the chest.
    When the man got up he said, "If you don't I'll cut off your head". He went down to the kitchen and got the hatchet. He came to the chest and opened it. The leipreacán said go down to the stone that you slipped on and you will get something under it. The man went down and lifted the stone and he got a pot of gold. The man would not let him go with that. That night a neighbour came in and he said to the man, "Did you see the fire", "No" said the man, "the forth is on fire", said the neighbour. The leipreacán went crying in the chest. "My wife and three children, my last and my hammer will be lit". The man said, "If you tell me how you make the shoes I'll let you go" So the leipreacán told him and the
