Gabhadh a n-athair mar gheall ortha, readh (?) anonn go Lonndan é agus tugadh suas a chuid caisleán Sydney (?). Bhí ríméad ar an bhfear groidhe sin an t-athair, 'na Iarla, a bheith i ngreim aige in áit "two beggarly Bastard (?) boys". Cailleadh an sean-fhear thall i 1582.
    B'fhurust ceann a chur ar Bhúrcach Mhaigh Eó, nó Mac (?) Uilliam Íochtair, mar tugadh air. Séard adeir Sydney (?) faoi:-
    "He was very sensible, though wanting the English tongue, yet understanding the Latin. He desired to repress (?) Irish extortion and expulse the Scots." Bhí sé sásta dúthaigh (?) a bheith aige ó'n Rí go díreach.
